Change or cancel at no cost. Travel plans move, and that should not cost you money.

Private only

Nobody else gets in. Your group rides alone, and we drop you at your hotel entrance.

What arriving at the terminal is like

Landing in Cancun means immigration and customs before you reach the arrivals hall, and that hall is where the uncomfortable part of the trip begins: a long corridor of counters offering transport, tours and stays with a presentation attached. It is where a lot of travellers lose half an hour and end up unsure what they just agreed to. With a representative holding a sign with your name, you walk straight past all of it.

The meet and greet happens inside whichever terminal you land in, not on the kerb and not in a car park across the road. If your flight arrives early, if the immigration queue is long or if your bags are slow onto the belt, the waiting time is not charged: we follow the flight number you gave us when booking, so the driver works from the hour you actually walked out of the hall rather than the hour you were scheduled to.

North or south of the airport

Two directions leave the airport, and it helps to know which one is yours before comparing prices. North lie the Cancun Hotel Zone, Puerto Juárez, Punta Sam and Costa Mujeres, all under an hour from the terminal. South, Federal Highway 307 runs along the coast and strings together Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum, from half an hour to two hours depending on how far down you go.

That is why the price here is quoted per destination and not per person or per bag: what changes from one fare to the next is the distance, not how many people are in the vehicle. A group of two and a group of eight pay the same for the same run, with tolls and taxes already included and nothing added on arrival. If your hotel sits at some point in between that is not in the table, we quote it the same way, fixed before you book.

Late arrivals and early departures

Cancun takes flights at every hour, and a good share of the ones from Europe land after dark. At that time shared transport runs far less often, the counters in the arrivals corridor are closed, and haggling over a fare with someone on the kerb is the worst possible way to start a holiday. The service runs around the clock all year, and booking a night arrival works exactly like any other booking, at the same published price.

The return is the opposite problem. Many flights to the United States and Canada leave mid morning, which pushes the pick-up into the small hours and lands it on the busiest stretch of traffic heading into the airport. When you book a round trip we work that hour out with your destination and your actual flight in front of us, counting the drive and check-in, and confirm it the day before so nobody has to guess.

Frequently asked questions

What is worth knowing before you book

How much is a taxi from Cancun Airport to my hotel?

It depends on the destination, and it is published in the table above. The Cancun Hotel Zone is $29.99 USD one way for up to 8 people; Playa del Carmen, $69.99 USD; the Tulum Hotel Zone, $154.99 USD. The price is for the whole vehicle rather than per person, tolls and taxes are already in it, and it is closed before you book: traffic and landing time do not move it.

Where do I catch the transfer when I leave the airport?

You do not have to catch it anywhere: our representative waits inside the terminal you land in, as you clear customs, holding a sign with your name. We hold an official airport permit, which is why we can meet you inside instead of arranging to meet at the kerb. All we need is your name and flight number: with that we track the arrival and know who to look for.

How is this different from the taxi rank at the airport?

Price and waiting. The rank quotes on the spot and usually costs considerably more; here the price is fixed before you book and does not change with traffic, luggage or the hour you land. And there is no queue to stand in: the vehicle is already assigned to your flight, it carries your group alone, and the driver waits inside the terminal with your name on a sign.

How many passengers and how much luggage fit?

The published price covers 1 to 8 passengers in a private vehicle, and luggage is included: there is no charge per bag or per item. Child seats carry no charge either, and you ask for them when booking so they are already fitted. If there are more than eight of you, or you carry bulky gear, say so when you book and we assign the right vehicle before closing the price.

Do I have to pay in advance?

You do not. You can pay by card or with PayPal when you book, or in cash on the day of travel, in pesos or in dollars. The payment method does not change the price and there is no card surcharge. If you choose cash, tell us when you book so the driver brings enough change and it does not have to be sorted out with your bags in your hands.

How long does it take to get out of Cancun Airport?

It depends on your passport, on how many flights land at once and on how fast your bags reach the belt. That is why we do not set a rigid pick-up time: we track your flight number and the driver waits at no charge until you come out, even if the formalities run longer than expected.

What if my flight changes or I arrive at a different time?

Tell us as soon as you know, with the new flight number and time, and we move the pick-up at no cost. If the change happens once you are already in the air, our flight tracking picks it up and the representative adjusts to the real arrival time.

Do you carry child seats?

Yes, and they are not charged separately. When you book, tell us how many children are travelling and their ages so we bring the right seat or booster. Luggage is not charged either, and neither are pushchairs or folding wheelchairs, which fit in the same vehicle.

Can I get an Uber from the airport?

No. Uber cannot pick up inside Cancun Airport: the airport's ground transport concession belongs to the authorised taxis, and taking an Uber would mean walking out of the grounds to the highway, which makes no sense with luggage. It does run around the city once you are settled in; out of the airport, it does not.

Where is the official taxi rank at the airport?

As you come out of arrivals you will find the Caribbean Taxi desks, the company that holds the airport concession: you follow the yellow signs and pay the zone fare there. It is a legitimate option, but it means queuing with your bags at the end of a flight and not knowing the amount until that moment. What is not worth doing is taking up an offer from anyone approaching you at the exit with no uniform and no desk. Booking ahead skips the queue: the price is fixed and the driver waits with a sign in your name.

Where exactly do you drop us?

From the terminal we cover the whole coast: the Cancun Hotel Zone and downtown, Puerto Juárez, Playa Mujeres, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal, Tulum and, inland, Valladolid, Chichén Itzá and Mérida. Give us the address or the name of your accommodation when you book and the driver takes you to the door.

How it works

From the plane to the hotel, without a single queue

What actually happens from the moment the aircraft doors open.

1
Official meeting point inside the terminal

You book and the confirmation arrives

Pick your destination and vehicle, and within minutes your confirmation is in your inbox with the exact meeting point.

2
Uniformed and identified Smile & Go staff

We wait for you inside the terminal

A uniformed representative waits as you clear customs, holding a sign with your name. Nobody to look for, no stepping outside to haggle.

3
Direct arrival at the hotel entrance

Straight to your hotel door

No stops, nobody else to collect, no detours. You arrive at your hotel entrance, not at a nearby point.

The difference

The three questions we are always asked

Why private instead of a shared shuttle?

A shared shuttle makes several stops before yours: 45 to 90 extra minutes after a long flight. Here the vehicle leaves with you and does not stop until your hotel.

Are you allowed inside the airport?

Yes. We hold an official permit to operate inside CUN and TQO, which is why we can meet you inside the terminal with your name on a sign instead of arranging to meet outside.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight number you give us and move the pick-up ourselves. The waiting is not charged: the delay is not your fault.
